History

Our organization emerged from the visionary leadership of Sasanka Maity, a dedicated social reformer and native of a remote village in the Moyna Block of Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. Deeply inspired since his student days by the humanitarian ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, he dedicated his life to rural community development. The Early Journey . 1984 (First Steps in Service): After completing his higher education, Sasanka Maity joined local flood relief operations with the Tamluk Ramakrishna Mission. Through years of hands-on social work and training with local organizations, he developed deep expertise and confidence in grassroots rural development. 1990 (Establishment): He co-foundress the Moyna Ramkrishna Association alongside Jayasri Maity, a dedicated government nurse. In the initial phase, her crucial financial support enabled the organization to effectively translate national-level welfare initiatives into reality at the village level. Major Milestones & Decentralization : 2000 (Empowering Children with Special Needs): Mobilizing local youth and women, the organization established a permanent residential special school for marginalized children with special needs (Divyangjan). Sustainable Growth: Over the years, numerous community development projects were launched. To decentralize operations, improve infrastructure, and maximize local impact, several sister organizations were created under his guidance.
